	The GP2X has video decoding hardware for DIVX & XVID, so most downloads should play without the need for re-encoding or a resolution change (they will scale to fit the screen). Other video formats can be easily re-encoded to play on the GP2X, you can find tools to do so on the file archive. Using the TV out cable you can watch movies on your TV screen via the GP2X. The default player is based on the well known PC player Mplayer. Movies can be rewound, fast forwarded, paused and resumed, if you have to turn the GP2X off the player will remember what you were last watching and give the option to resume.
